What are the benefits of CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol and it is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis (otherwise known as marijuana). CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant. While CBD is a component of marijuana (one of hundreds), CBD by itself does not cause a “high.”

Life is about balancing between polar opposites and this creates homeostasis -- the Yin & the Yang. When we talk about specific parts of our physiology in the body such as the immune system, the polar opposites are anti-inflammation and inflammation -- the positive and the negative. When those two things are in balance then the immune system is in balance. There are many other physiological examples that are discussed in the video above.

CBD is commonly used to address anxiety, and for patients who suffer through the misery of insomnia, studies suggest that CBD may help with both falling asleep and staying asleep.

CBD may also offer an option for treating different types of chronic pain. CBD applied on the skin could help lower pain and inflammation due to arthritis. Another study demonstrated the mechanism by which CBD inhibits inflammatory and neuropathic pain, two of the most difficult types of chronic pain to treat!

There are many natural solutions to health issues and CBD is one of them, offered in various ways. Check it out for yourself!
